This document discusses KISTI's efforts to promote global access to Korean scholarly journals through Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and open access approaches. Brief History of KISTI’s DOI Service
The first DOI assignment was performed as a sponsoring
Dec. 2007
member representing scholarly societies in Korea.
KoreaScience was opened to be a DOI response page for Korean
Jan. 2008
S&T journals.
March, 2008 The first deposition of DOI XML was successfully performed.
Cited-by-linking sign-up & Multiple resolution services were
June, 2009
started.
42 S&T journals from 30 academic societies are applied to be DOI
