Sulfosulfuron EMEA
• Sulfosulfuron is a selective herbicide for postemergence
control of weeds in wheat and triticale.
• It can be applied up to 2‐node stage of wheat
• Sulfosulfuron controls major cereal grass species, and some
dicots
– Apera spica‐venti
– Bromus spp.
– Elymus repens
– Avena fatua
– Volunteer barley
• The uses rates range from 10 – 20 g a.i./ha
• Non ionic surfactant should be mixed to the product

of Volunteer Barley in UK
Monitor applied at 25g/ha will stop volunteer barley growing resulting in a
stunted volunteer below the wheat canopy.
Depending on timing barley grains will be shrivelled and not viable.
Applications up until latest crop timing will have good results.

in Central‐East Europe in winter wheat
• Several mixture partners can be used to broaden activity
against dicots
• Good agricultural practice should be followed to prevent
resistance development
