To get something significant done in
any large organisation, you may need
twenty, thirty, sometimes fifty people,
across departments and even outside
your organisation
To mobilise groups at that scale, it is
critical that you engage with all these
people, at the right level, at the right
time, in the right way, with the right
message
Stakeholder management therefore is
a team effort, which requires explicit
action and feedback

Engage
purposefully with
your stakeholders
- walk a mile in
their shoes to find
the mutual interest
Identify all you stakeholders; a stakeholder is any
person or team that can affect, or is affected by,
your project.
Stakeholders who affect your project are those
that you need to work with you, or those that
decide about your project:
Stakeholders affected by your project are
typically users of the outcome of your project -
and the people (customers!) they interact with
Deeply understand your stakeholders across two
dimensions
Interest: what is the potential pain or gain, what
do they know about the topic; how important is
success (or failure) of the project it for them?
Influence: how can (s)he become a driving or a
resisting force, how strong is the force?
Think how you can use the tools of the Creation
Flow to activate your stakeholders in a
participative way
Make a plan as a team who is going to involve
who, why, and how
Stay mindful that when you progress, the interest
