Definite
plans
this
weekend
to
support
African
American
Independent
Film
Director
Neil
Drumming.
His
film
is
showing
at
The
Downtown
Independent
Cinema
located
in
Los
Angeles
it's
also
showing
in
New
York
be
sure
to
support
if
possible
this
weekend

Very
excited
about
seeing
the
critically
acclaim
film
Fruitvale
Station
especially
today
the
writer
director
Ryan
Coogler
so
many
of
my
friends
have
been
raving
about
in
particularly
this
movie.
Be
sure
to
especially
start
taking
your
children
old
enough
to
see
these
independent
movies
out
to
see
them.
Fruitvale
Station
deals
with
subjects
that
you
won’t
see
the
regular
Hollywood
producer
or
director
taking
the
time
to
bring
to
the
forefront.
Hopefully
the
mention
two
directors
will
one
many
years
to
come
bring
us
more
cinema
of
this
type
quality

Supporting
positive
arts
need
to
be
the
trend
we
establish
as
a
consumer
that
without
a
doubt
and
proof
is
documented
that
African
Americans
currently
do
support
the
arts
and
entertainment.
Enough
so
now
that
major
studios
corporations
and
retailers
will
do
more
than
just
entertain
an
African
American
as
a
pitch
person
or
face
of
a
product.
With
that
being
said
it’s
not
at
all
necessary
to
call
each
other
n*@@#
or
anything
that
will
deface
us
as
a
people
to
sell
a
product.
I
am
literally
a
shame
when
I
see
dudes
who
I
have
probably
known
for
close
to
thirty
years
still
stepping
on
the
backs
of
there
own
people
just
to
sell
an
album
apparel
or
endorse
a
product.
Funny
thing
is
even
after
this
capitalistic
society
has
enabled
many
of
them
to
enjoy
lavish
lifestyles
and
to
basked
in
it
for
years
you
would
think
an
alarm
would
ring
in
the
heads
of
some
of
these
individuals.
But
quite
honestly
certain
people
are
selected
by
choice
so
entertain
me
for
one
second
as
I
elaborate
on
this
assertive
point
of
view.
2.
The
entertainment
industry
period
does
expect
returns
on
anything
that
it
has
invested
in
whether
it
be
an
artist
or
project
we
all
understand
this
to
be
truth
but
the
entertainment
industry
has
totally
been
revamped
and
it
scares
every
single
executive
in
this
world.
No
longer
does
an
individual
have
to
rely
on
a
movie
studio
or
record
label
or
supposed
artist
development
guru
or
agent
to
promote
them
anymore.
The
internet
has
changed
more
about
this
industry
called
entertainment
than
corporations
will
ever
allow
to
become
public
discussions
and
as
well
news
personalities
as
well
even
those
moguls
we
have
love
for
aren’t
going
to
come
as
clean
as
they
should.
Reason
being
that
would
take
money
out
of
their
pockets
as
well
I
love
me
some
Oprah
and
I
am
quite
proud
of
her
success
and
I
support
OWN
and
enjoy
all
the
programming
which
includes
my
favorite
show
The
Haves
And
The
Have
Not’s.
But
it
should
be
remembered
that
the
incredible
Oprah
learned
much
of
what
she
learned
from
working
for
the
King
Brothers
of
King
World
Productions
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_World_Productions
please
be
sure
to
read
more
about
King
World
and
the
legendary
television
shows
they’ve
syndicated
through
the
years
http://www.nytimes.com/1992/07/26/business/the-‐rise-‐and-‐
rise-‐of-‐the-‐brothers-‐king.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm
It
is
no
secret
why
allegiance
wise
Tyler
Perry
has
been
literally
anointed
by
Oprah
not
to
question
his
talent
at
all
but
back
when
Miss
Winfrey
decided
that
she
no
longer
wanted
to
be
a
part
of
King
World
it
was
important
to
establish
her
own
universe.
And
pretty
much
anyone
who
she
required
on
board
she
extended
the
olive
branch
which
was
strategically
brilliant
as
a
business-‐person
in
this
society
and
important
for
the
development
of
the
network.
Then
after
the
rocky
start
of
the
network
it
has
flourish
but
now
what
we
see
happening
before
our
eyes
believe
me
has
caught
the
attention
of
every
executive
breathing
right
now.
There’s
confusion
it’s
simple
basically
what’s
next
what
or
who
is
the
next
biggest
thing
for
instance
one
day
a
kid
shows
me
this
video
on
youtube
almost
3
years
ago
of
a
kid
name
Spoken
Reasons
a
kid
just
clowning
I
laughed
so
hard
then
I
looked
at
the
hits
on
his
sight
and
it
was
about
3
million.
Then
I
look
at
all
the
other
videos
and
we’re
talking
millions
of
people
for
maybe
over
12
different
videos
at
that
time
when
he
was
an
underground
sensation
with
the
kids
but
now
it’s
in
the
billions
and
although
a
studio
has
already
put
him
in
a
featured
film
with
Sandra
Bullock
(The
Heat)
someone
will
stick
there
claws
in
him
soon
and
it
might
not
even
be
to
showcase
him

3. Remember
studios
and
this
industry
especially
music
has
a
way
of
loosing
artist
to
so
don’t
ever
assume
that
your
favorite
artist
might
be
cleverly
coming
up
with
the
hooks
and
beats
he
or
she
may
have
been
spitting
or
singing
for
decades.
But
before
I
get
sidetrack
and
off
the
initial
topic
which
I
have
been
known
to
do
let
me
go
back
to
my
initial
request.
Go
out
and
support
these
young
African
American
film-‐makers
this
weekend
and
remember
the
entertainment
industry
is
literally
a
grind
and
it’s
almost
comical
when
I
see
people
going
out
buying
$300
telephones
just
to
get
music
supposedly
downloaded
free
on
a
phone
they
just
bought
along
with
the
application
and
an
album
that
many
of
music
industries
most
respected
critics
say
is
whack
But
rather
than
critiquing
anything
I’d
just
rather
go
out
myself
this
weekend
and
support
positive
arts
be
sure
to
bring
the
kids
whether
it’s
to
a
movie
to
hear
some
music
or
to
the
theatre
or
a
free
concert
series
in
the
park
celebrate
all
arts.
Remember
art
does
imitate
life
and
not
necessarily
every
artist
cares
about
the
way
we
all
live.
Don’t
for
one
second
underestimate
the
power
of
the
consumer
and
your
dollar.
But
more
importantly
demand
quality
and
you
don’t
necessarily
have
to
just
buy
anything
or
go
anyplace
just
to
say
you
have
it
or
did.
