To stay current, Veronica has opted in to receive mobile updates from her favorite brands. Trip Offer: Veronica receives an email with a personalized offer for a trip to Cancun and purchases it on her mobile device. Transaction Alert: She books her ticket to Cancun and receives a large withdrawal notice from her bank via a push notification. Geo-fenced Offer: She receives a scratch-to-win offer from her favorite retailer’s app as she drives near the store, revealing a 20% off coupon. She stops by the store to make a purchase. Loyalty Account Update: Retailer sends Veronica a notice of loyalty rewards via push, and directs her to Passbook to view points (post-purchase). Flight Delay: The day of the flight, she receives an SMS notification that her flight is delayed, with a drink coupon for the inconvenience. Appointment Update: Veronica utilizes 2-way SMS to re-schedule her car service since her flight is delayed. Hotel Check-in: Using a mobile automated check-in program, Veronica receives her room number via the hotel app. On-Site Promotion: Walking past a hotel beacon, Veronica receives a $15 off coupon for any hotel amenity and purchases a spa package with her discount. Guest Room Request: Later, Veronica returns to her hotel room and requests towels from hotel staff via 2-way SMS chat. Upcoming Flight: She receives a Passbook notification from the airline 24 hours before her flight home to check in.
