• Reproductive health is defined as a state of
physical, mental, and social well-being in all
matters relating to the reproductive system, at all
stages of life. Good reproductive health implies
that people are able to have a satisfying and safe
sex life, the capability to reproduce and the
freedom to decide if, when, and how often to do
so.
• Sexually transmitted diseases (STD), are illnesses
that have a significant probability of transmission
between humans by means of sexual activity.
Common STDs
include chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, HIV/AIDS,
syphilis.

• HIV~ (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) The virus

and causes AIDS.
• AIDS~ (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) It
is related to HIV, but they are not one in the
same. A person has AIDS only in the final stages
of HIV, after the immune system becomes unable
to defend itself against foreign invaders like
bacteria, other viruses, and allows the
development of certain cancers.
