GARNER — The Hancock County District Fair and Garner-Hayfield/Ventura FFA will each receive $2,500 through
Chris Schleusner, Garner, who was selected as a winner of America’s Farmers Grow Communities sponsored
by the Monsanto Fund.

Grow Communities gives farmers the opportunity to win a $2,500 donation to their favorite local
nonprofit organizations. To further support counties that have been declared disaster areas due to
drought, winning farmers were able to direct double the donation, a total of $5,000.
Hancock County was declared a disaster area by the USDA, giving Schleusner the opportunity to
place two $2,500 donations. Schleusner selected the Hancock County District Fair and GarnerHayfield/Ventura FFA.
