1. My family was helped by the Ronald McDonald House when I was sick. I now try and help
them when I can. I love to create art. I’ve given the Ronald McDonald House several pieces,
as gifts and also for them to auction off. I was super excited when one of my pieces sold for a
lot of money. That meant families like mine could stay together. My family was chosen as the
international face of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our short video can be seen by

We continue to try and support the House when we can. I make art, and we get to help by
sharing my story of being sick with lots of people, on TV with Fox 21
(/news/story.aspx?id=642367), and our local paper, The Gazette, wrote a story about our
family. You can read it at gazette.com, searching Elizabeth Bailey. Plus, my Dad has done
some handyman work for the House.
My family couldn’t have afforded to stay in a hotel while I was sick. The hospital was so far
away from our home. I was scared and wanted my family to be with me. I missed my Mom
and Dad and my brothers and sister. It was a gift when we could all be together again at the
Ronald McDonald House. Money would help other families like mine stay together when their
kids are sick.
