Duties:
I Joined Sparrows as flying squad crane operator in an ad-hoc position, I work on
different platforms covering both dayshift and nightshift. I regularly use different cranes
and models, mechanical and electrical all over the North Sea and the Southern Sector for
2/3 weeks at a time, working alongside the drilling crew or deck crew, bringing cargo to
and from supply boats, doing deck work and working with wireline personal setting up
towers and spotting their equipment. I also have worked various decommissioning jobs
on the platforms.

I undertook self-employment in April 2014 and took work on the Douglas Platform as
crane-operator working the supply boats with cargo and backload, also moving cargo to
and from the JB 115 Platform which is connected via bridge. I also ensured the upkeep
of the four resident cranes onboard (2 Kenz, National and Seatrax).

Based on the Forties field while contracting for Enermech switching from Bravo, Charlie
and Delta platforms as I was the drilling crane op on dayshift, night shift involved
working with Archer Drilling bringing all their equipment from and to supply boat and
setting up the moving pipe deck and v-door while dismantling the patio decks and
pancake decks when the derrick moved into position each time, I also set up the wireline
unit when needed but always with a safety first attitude.

I have also worked as crane operator on the jack up platforms the Nobel Ronald Hope
and the Nobel Piet, directing roustabouts and completing manifests for drilling equipment
coming to and from the platforms.
Responsible for performing safety checks on the cranes when not working the vessels,
including daily reports or helideck duties as required.
Prior to this, I started as roustabout/deckhand in 2002, for general deck
duties/labouring. Completed HLO course and progressed to heli-deck duties. Progressed
to banksman slinging and working with cranes, completing offshore Stage 1 & 2 Crane
Operator and finally offshore Stage 3.
