1. A. If you had the opportunity, what actions would you demand of
the United Nations Secretary General and why?

2. Concerning the United Nations Security Council
reform, I would like to demand the Secretary
General to spearhead the actions and discussions
toward achieving regional representation.
The United Nations Security Council reform is well
overdue and something should be done sooner
rather than later.
3. My own bias is on giving one or more African
nations a permanent seat on the Security Council.
This is because Africa has the most member states
in the United Nations than any other region.
Secondly, most of the United Nations’ plans are
mostly focused on the continent.
There have been major changes in Africa’s political
and economic geography. Therefore, unbalanced
power relations should be rectified.
4. This reform has dragged on for more than a decade
now and fast action would only be proper to be able
to deal with the challenges that are being faced
today.
The sooner this is achieved, the sooner the world
can enjoy a more transparent council with more
efficient ways of working.
5. I am looking forward to seeing this goal realized.
