PROJECT BRIEF
7. Cosy, calm and collected – this contemporary living room is governed by the use of warm greys as per the clients’
requirements. The overall look and feel of the room is semi-formal in nature, and the colour palette includes a
dearth of earthy, neutral hues. A slight pop of colour is introduced in this space through the use of décor accents
such as cushions, plants and books.

9. Stylish yet inviting, the bedroom has a stronger edge of modernity to it as compared to the living room, but still
has a comforting ambience to it. The cool greys used in this room are balanced out with the use of warmer tones
of brown, orange and yellow which are introduced through the artwork, lights and cushions in order to bind the
entire room together.

11. Manolo Blahnik is a Spanish designer who is known
for reviving the sleek stiletto heel. He is regarded as
an unrivalled visionary in his field, and his shoes are
a symbol of craftsmanship and luxury. Unlike most
of their contemporaries, Manolo Blahnik shroud
themselves in exclusivity, as many stores are nes-
tled in modest locations with secretive storefronts
concealing the interior within.

12. Manolo Blahnik shoes are one of a kind art pieces,
as are their boutiques. To keep this feeling of luxuri-
ous exclusivity going, this store was designed while
keeping the brand’s uniqueness in mind. The pattern
of the hanging Corian panel displays that hold the
shoes has been inspired from the heraldic fleur-de-
lis, the symbol of Florence.
The extraordinary shape of the floor plan has been
highlighted, and a runway like element has been built
in order to provide buyers with an outside the box
shopping experience. The general colour palette of
the boutique sticks to neutral colours, so that the fo-
cus is drawn to the high-class, handcrafted shoes.

16. The inspiration for this loft has derived from
‘Relativity’- a lithograph print created by Dutch artist
M.C. Escher. Relativity shows a world in which the
usual laws of gravity do not apply, and the focus is
laid on the architectural structure shown in the litho-
graph. Similarly in this loft, the stairs are the focal
point of the entire space and are meant to give the
loft a feeling of continuity.

17. These easy to make Photoshop montages are a way
of giving the client an insight into what their space
can potentially look like. The process of interior
decorating follows a few simple rules that are kept
in mind while bringing these rooms together. These
are a great way of showcasing the design idea in a
polished visual manner that helps the client un-
derstand the design ideology and overall possible
outcome of the process.
