This document provides instructions for an intermediate writing lesson on improving presentation skills from the SkimaTalk online course. Students are asked to complete a homework assignment before the lesson by writing a 2,400 character presentation about one of their country's services and how importing it could benefit other countries. The lesson will involve the student reading their homework aloud, getting feedback from the teacher, and answering follow-up questions in the final 5 minutes. The teacher is instructed to structure the lesson by having the student read their work, spending 10 minutes proofreading and correcting it with the student, and then asking discussion questions at the end.

Teacher Notes 4 Please structure your lesson as follows: 1. After a brief introduction, ask the student to read his/her homework assignment out loud. Note any grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation errors. 2. Spend 10 minutes helping the student proofread the document. Focus on correcting grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary. 3. In the final 5 minutes, ask the discussion questions on the following page of this lesson. 4. After the session, please spend 15 minutes proofreading the student’s homework assignment.
