The Kingdom of Heaven may be compared to a
man who sowed good seed in his field. But while
his men were sleeping, his enemy came and
sowed tares among the wheat and went away.
But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain,
then the tares became evident also. Matthew 13:24+
A local church will have tares with which to
CAREFULLY contend: be too aggressive and
you’ll uproot genuine believers in your zeal for
a pure ‘field’

Jesus tells John of a false prophetess in
Thyatira who infects the church there. He
warns all to avoid this lady and hold fast to
what they have left of the truth (vs 25).
Jesus calls us to be overcomers.

At the Judgment Seat of Christ, all our works
are tested by fire for their worth. Some
Christians get rewards, others have nothing to
show for their Savior’s love.

be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. I Corinthians 5:5
Here a Christian has so violated God’s will and
his church’s respect that Paul hands him off to
Satan for ‘the destruction of his flesh’.
But his spirit remains saved.
