Is reading interesting to your kid
1. In the name of God
Do you like, that your kid shows interest to read book? Do you try so much, but your kid
doesnât show interest? This text is for you:
1. When your child is plying around, seat near him/her and start to read books. Let
him/her see your interest of reading. If he/she watches you on that position, wants
to know what are you doing. He/she may shows interest not so fast. It's OK. Even if
you let him/her paint on your books, it would be useful. When he/she finds out, that
he/she is able to paint on your books freely, do not doubt it, soon, your child will
show interest to read books. When I was a little girl, my parents let me know books
using this way and also let me to paint on their books. Nowadays, I have more than a
thousand books and even my parent's books, in which till now, my paintings are
there. I read some of them 20 times! That's the result of my parent's behaves, which
let me know the world of books freely.
2. Buy your child interesting books, which he/she likes and let him/her to do anything
with them. If you do not know, what kind of books does your child like, buy him/her
different kinds of books, however, most of children like stories. Put the books on the
place, where he/she can touch them and also, donât forget the colored pencils!
3. Every night, before going to sleep, read nice books for your child. Soon, your child will
be interested to know more. Pay attention to what you chose to read. Your child will
understand the subject of the book. If there are not positive recommends, he/ she
will get it fast. I can remember well, when my parents or others read nice, real or
fantasy stories. Some of story books have been given me by my dad and grandfather,
and by some of them, I made my life's basis. Those books, had different subjects:
respect and friendship to everyone, not mention to their nations, kindness, not to
expect it from the others, but to give it to everybody, believe in own-self and keep
going on to achieve whatever I want, hope, etc.
4. Ask your child interesting questions, which do not annoy him/her and he/she likes to
find the answers. Answer him/her not completely, also not so complete, which make
him/her tiered of your questions. You can choose the questions, which he/she shows
interest to the subjects.
5. Tell your child, that the books are his/her real friends, which in every situation and
for free help him/her and they are useful. Prove this not in words, but in acts. Before
going to sleep, read a book, especially at the time, when he/she can see you. When
you talk, use the nice, useful sentences from different writers, but not more than
once or twice a day, because soon, your child will see you a person, which only can
repeat, doesnât know anything and only can repeat the other's words.
6. Help him/her to be a member of library and go there together every week and read
books, discuss different subjects together. You show him/her not only books are so
2. useful, but your child will be more interested to read books and soon, he/she wants
to know more. Also he/she can be a member of a group, s.th like book followers,
then you may rest and watch your child growing up on different scientific fields and
daily subjects, especially when he/she has great partners (which are real followers of
reading)
7. Do not tell your child directly to read books ever, because after a short time, he will
lose interest of reading and go to find s.th else to enjoy.
8. Do not compare him/ her even with his/her brother or sister, because he/she will
stand against you and reading.
9. Tell your child about successful people and show them to him/her, especially whom,
which he/she likes and tries to behave like them, like: footballers, actors, leaders, etc.
10.Respect books, especially when you talk about them. Respectfully and with love and
interest talk not only about books, but writers, subject and some part of books. Try to
choose nice and useful parts.
11. Make a nice library for your child on their rooms and let him to choose it
himself/herself and give him/her books as gift.
If your child doesn't show interest at all to the books, do not hurry. Give him/her time.
Maybe your child needs more time. Respectfully and with love, try to prove your child, how
useful is the world of books and how much easier he/she may live by the useful words of
books.
