online video content in their marketing programs. This is an 11% increase from 2011.
• On a monthly basis, 25 million smartphone users stream 4 hours of mobile video. An
estimated 75% of smartphone users watch videos on their phones, 26% of whom use

Recall is Better with Video
Statistics show that video ads are more effective than television ads in terms of general
recall, brand recall, message recall and likeability. Take a close look at how effectively
video ads can help make you unforgettable as far as your potential market is

With video advertising you have imagery at its most effective. Video advertising can

exceedingly better than all other types of ads. Therefore, they are a critical factor in the
success of a campaign to promote a product or a service. The following data show that
the use of video in a rich media ad encourages people to buy the product advertised.

• Forbes indicates that of the senior executives who watched a video, 65%
subsequently went on to visit a company’s website.
• A comScore press release reveals that there was a 35.3% increase in share of
choice for the product featured in an ad and a 28% increase for the product’s total

The Only Way to Go
If the present trend continues and if projections prove true then in less time than you
think, video advertising will be everywhere and consumers will be exposed to it on
mobile, online and connected TV. This means that if you want to acquire or maintain a
competitive edge in business and if you want to make sure you have dynamic visibility,
you have to begin engaging your consumer base through video advertising. It is simply
