Our mission is to enhance the skill
level of business analysis practitioners
in the Austin, Texas area through
networking, skills training, and
career development.

4. President
 Establish and maintain focus on the Chapters
vision, mission and strategy for growth, stability and
success
 Provide leadership and mentoring to new Board
Members
 Establish and maintain compliance with IIBA®
Chapter policies and bylaws
 Schedule and chair monthly Board of Director
meetings
 Charter and oversee annual Board of Director
nominations and elections
 Direct corporate and academic outreach initiatives
 Signatory officer for disbursements of Chapter funds
 Signatory officer for bank, state and tax documents

5. President - Elect
 Assist the President with implementing the
Chapter’s current strategy for growth, stability and
success
 Evaluate Chapter performance against strategic
plans
 Provide leadership in the absence of the President
 Recruit Chapter Board Members and Volunteers
 Maintain involvement with IIBA® international
through participation in regional forums and
Chapter Growth Committee meetings

6. Treasury Officers
Treasurer
 Manage and maintain accurate monthly accounting
records of all organizational funds received and disbursed
 Provide regular reports on the financial status of the
organization
 File annual financial reports, tax reports and audit reports
 Signatory officer for disbursements of Chapter funds
Secretary
 Prepare and distribute Chapter Board meeting agenda
and post meeting minutes to Google docs
 Prepare and distribute meeting agenda and post meeting
minutes for the Annual General Meeting held in September
each year
 Check the Chapter’s P.O. Box for mail

7. Communication Officers
VP of Communications
 Maintain weekly checks of all chapter email
account correspondences (Gmail account)
 Manage the business analysis job opportunities list
 Ensure monthly meeting facilities are reserved
 Order food for monthly events through the St.
Edwards Facilities Director (Craig 512-342-4113)
Chapter Liaisons
 Pursue and develop alliances and partnerships
with other professional
organizations, agencies, businesses and individuals
 Develop relationships with other IIBA® chapters

8. Membership Officers
VP of Membership
 Maintain a list of active Chapter memberships
 Manage email communications for new and
renewing Chapter memberships
 Administer periodic Chapter meeting and
member satisfaction surveys
Membership Recruiters
 Greet, check in, and collect meeting fees
from monthly event attendees
 Visit and speak to area Business Analysis
classes about the benefits of membership

9. Professional Development
VP of Professional Development
 Maintain a 90 day schedule of upcoming
presentations and event details for Chapter
publication
 Purchase gift cards, prepare thank-you notes and
complete appreciation certificates for Chapter
speakers
 Maintain a list of prospective speaker contacts
 Organize and lead annual CBAP/CCBA Study Group
ATX BADD Event Planner
 Project Manager for the annual ATX BADD event
 Maintain a list of recommended event presentations

10. Marketing Officers
VP of Marketing
 Establish and maintain strong relationships
with area businesses that sponsor the Chapter
 Create and publish the monthly Chapter
newsletter
 Setup monthly event registration links
Social Media Manager
 Promote Chapter news and events with twice
monthly posts on LinkedIn and Twitter

11. Technology Officers
VP of Technology
 Maintain the Account Authority list for all
technology services used by the Chapter
 Create and maintain policies and procedures for
applications used by the Chapter
 Provide application training to Board Members
 Maintain and update links and webpages on the
Chapter website
Webmaster
 Create and maintain monthly event pages and
event registration links
