Technology is constantly evolving and converging different functions into single devices like smartphones. This document discusses how the author has used their phone to record interviews, send emails, and get tasks done quickly. It also discusses how the internet has enabled tasks like sharing videos on YouTube, uploading interviews to SoundCloud, and connecting with focus groups on social media. The author learned new skills by using audio editing software like Audacity and video editing software like iMovie to produce class projects. Overall, the document reflects on how technology has dramatically improved and will likely continue advancing in the 21st century.
3. One thing I have learnt from technology is convergence. This is the coming
together of two or more things into one product, such as a phone. Now we are
able to perform a variety o tasks using a phone e.g. using email, text or phone
calls.
I have used convergence through my phone. I used it to record the interviews
and send emails to my interviews. This made it easier for me to get things done
quickly. These devices now have the advantage of portability therefore
increasing the amount of time we spend using them.

5. As society progress so is technology. Every year there is a
vast improvement of technological devices. Now that
everyone owns a Smartphone, technologyâs advances will
be imperceptible.
6. Today the number of net users is pushing the 3 billion mark. But
thatâs not the really big newsâŠ
Whatâs truly startling is that 2 billion of these people are
getting their internet connection primarily via smart phones.
Therefore, technology will keep improving in the future.
7. The internet was very important because it was the main
platform to find and share information. It was useful because
without it I wouldnât have been able to make video using
YouTube, upload interviews using Sound Cloud and get
information from my focus group using social networking sties.
Also the internet is evidence of globalisation since people are
becoming more interconnected through social media.
8. I used social media as a platform to connect and receive
information from my target audience. I was able to use
social media to ask my audience what they are interested
in and how we could improve. I used Whatsapp and
Instagram to distribute my survey so I receive a large
amount of responses.
9. I also learnt new things through the use of different software's.
One important software was audacity. With
audacity I was able to make changes to my
interviews (cut, fade, vices) and create my
preliminary task. This helped me to produce a
well finished product.
Another software was iMovie. This helped me to
produce my question 4. It taught me how to produce
a good video and gave me the necessary skills
needed for future use. This software was easy to get
to grips with once you played around with it.
10. I have learnt that technology is constantly developing and
becoming increasingly popular.
11. This article shows that the radio is âboomingâ due to technological devices that
enable people to hear the radio through their own possessions, such as, iPods and
iPhones. These devices have helped to spread the use of the radio among many
people. As radio is free on many devices, lots of people choose to use it instead if
downloading music using iTunes and other apps. Also technology has become more
user-generated which means that people have the advantage of using the media for
their own purposes.
12. In conclusion, I think that technology has improved
dramatically. We have seen evidence of this from the
past as the quality and range of products have
changed to produce better products with more
advances. In the 21st Century we now see the
emergence of HD and SMART televisions, therefore
technology will continue to improve.
