7. The Atmosphere of Unity
Two is an additional number, which
could mean many things, it could mean
increase because it is more than one, it
could mean multiplication because it
has been doubled.
It also means unity because it is the
coming together of more than one, and
it could be said to be strength and
power.
7|Page
8. It could also be seen as strong support
for both.
We understand that through the
scripture, in the book of Genesis, God
made heaven and earth, He reformed
the earth which was without form, he
practically spoke everything into
existence, the heaven, the earth, the
sun, the moon, the stars, the air, the
waters, the fishes, the birds, all the
animals and insects, then watch this,
8|Page
9. when it was time for God to create
man, God called for a meeting.
Genesis 1:26, "And God said, let us
make man in our image, after our
likeness.”
In the atmosphere of unity and
togetherness, man was created. When
man was created, man was formed two
in one; the scripture said he made
them male and female.
9|Page
10. God did not stop there, he decided to
separate them biologically but still bind
them up physically, emotional and
spiritually, but there was one who was
threatened by this development.
Yes, the devil never liked it, so he
starts to fight the concept with
everything he has. The devil knew, he
will never succeed if they were
together, so he waited until Eve was
alone, then he attacked her mind, and
then her person.

11. You know how the story goes. Even
the children of this world will agree
with this concept and they usually say
it like this, "Divided will fall, but united
will stand.”
11 | P a g e
12. The Power of Unity
Well, it must interest you to know that
this concept is divine; the world got
from the scripture and accepted it.
Do you remember when the Lord Jesus
spoke to the Jews about a house that is
divided against itself; he said it would
not stand.
Therefore, you must understand the
principle of unity is in agreement, the
12 | P a g e
13. power, strength and their progress is in
agreement.
Amos 3:3, the scripture asked an
interesting question, "Can two walk
together, except they be agreed?”
There is something in two, in
togetherness, which the devil is doing
his best to stop many from seeing, or
understanding, because once it is
revealed to you, your way and concept
of battles will change.
13 | P a g e
14. There is power in unity. The scripture
says one of you shall chase one
thousand, but two of you ten
thousand. Since one is to stop one
thousand, then, two should have been
two thousand, but not the way it
works.
Notice, the number multiplied by ten,
because, two are ten times better than
one, ten times stronger than one, ten
times wiser than one, ten times
favored than one, ten times
14 | P a g e
15. empowered that one, and ten times
blessed than one.
Ecclesiastes 4: 8-12, "There is one
alone, and there is not a second, yea,
he hath neither child nor brother...Two
are better than one because they have
a good reward for their labor. For if
they fall, the one will lift up his fellow,
but woe to him that is alone when he
falleth, for he hath not another to help
him up. Again, if two lie together,
then they have heat: but how can one
15 | P a g e
16. be warm alone. And if one prevails
against him, two shall withstand him,
and threefold cord is not quickly
broken.”
16 | P a g e
17. Three Fold Cord
Through the scripture, we understand
very well that two is far better than
one and there are rewards that come
out of two, and finally the scripture
talked about the threefold cord. It says
it cannot be easily broken; this is a
demonstration of unity, the strength of
togetherness.
When God was about to create man at
the beginning, he said let us make man
in our own image and in our likeness,
17 | P a g e
18. does this mean that God was working
with others at creation? Let see, 1
John 5:7, "For there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these
three are one.” These three are one,
three in one, and they had to come
together to make man in their own
Image and likeness. Was that why,
man was given a helpmeet because
God saw it is not good for man to be
alone.
18 | P a g e
19. Man was not wired to be lonely, it is
not in the nature of man to be isolated,
in fact is was what made God to
command man to be fruitful and
multiply, to replenish the earth, and
these growth and expansions is in line
with God's divine call and purpose for
man. We have seen through the
scripture the physical benefits and
strength that is in two or more, what
about the spiritual.
19 | P a g e
20. Well from the known, you will get to
the unknown, all truths move towards
the same direction. The scripture says
in Matthew 18:19, “Again I say unto
you, that if two of you shall agree on
earth as touching anything that they
shall ask, it shall be done for them of
my Father which is in heaven”.
The Lord did not stop there, He
concluded with these words in verse
20, "For where two or three are
20 | P a g e
21. gathered together in my name, there
am I in the midst of them.”
First he assured us that when we come
together in agreement and touch any
issue it response to our desired result,
and the his presence is in the midst of
two or three. Why didn't God say the
same concerning one? Does it mean,
He is not with one?

22. The Spirit of Unity
No, I do not think so, but what the
scripture is revealing here is that there
is more anointing, more grace, more
glory, more authority, and more
blessings in unity.
The spirit of unity is something you
cannot beat or overcome without
dividing it.
22 | P a g e
23. In Luke 10, the Lord sent out seventy of
his disciples two by two. Now,
something wonderful happened, in
verse 17, the scripture said they came
back rejoicing, they gave this
testimony, and that the devil was
subject to them.
They all walked in twos, and the result
was amazing. Psalm 133, says it is
sweet, pleasant, wonderful, marvelous
and blessing for brethren to dwell
together in unity, it says it is where the
23 | P a g e
24. Lord releases his anointing and
blessings. God established marriage,
and the church on love and unity.
So it will usually difficult, or even
almost impossible for any marriage,
ministry, or even the church to prosper
in disunity. It is necessary to come
together, but not just this, the Lord
wants us to unite also with him. God's
purpose has been for man to abide in
him, to settle and live in God and God
in us.
24 | P a g e
25. I Can Do All Things
The Lord Jesus promised to pray this
prayer, in John 14:16-20, "And I will
pray the Father, and he shall give you
another comforter, that he may abide
with you forever. Even the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither
knoweth him, but ye know him for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless. .... At
that day ye shall know that I am in my
25 | P a g e
26. Father and you in me, and I in you.”
The sins of Adam did separate the
world from God, so when we come into
Christ, we automatically come into God
plan and divine purpose for our lives.
Once your life is in agreement with
Christ, it gives life and meaning to your
purpose on earth.
The scripture explains more in John
15:4-5, "Abide in me, and I in you. As
the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine, no more
26 | P a g e
27. can ye, except ye abide in me. I am
the vine, ye are the branches. He that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit, for without
me ye can do nothing."
When we come together with Christ
there nothing we cannot achieve. The
scripture says I can do all thing
through Christ who
strengthens me.
