2. Why have a personalised URL
• When you created your account, LinkedIn
created a URL for you, but it contained lots of
letters and numbers
• A custom URL:
– Looks much more professional
– Sets you apart from those who haven’t done this!
• To share your URL e.g. on business cards

7. NOTE:
URL must contain 5 – 30 letters or numbers
No spaces, symbols or special characters

11. Summary
• Logon to LinkedIn
• Click on [Edit profile]
• Click on [Edit] to the right of your existing URL
• Click on [Customize your public profile URL]
• Enter your chosen name. If a tick appears,
then it hasn’t been taken.
• Click on [Set custom URL]
