Pride Mobility Products Corp. is the world’s leading designer and
manufacturer of mobility products, including Jazzy Power Chairs,
Pride Scooters, Pride Lift Chairs and Pride Silver Star Lifts & Ramps.
Quantum Rehab, a division of Pride Mobility, manufactures
innovative, complex rehab solutions. The international company is
headquartered in Exeter, PA, with manufacturing operations
nearby in Northern Pennsylvania.
The Challenge
Pride Mobility retained an energy audit from SmartWatt Energy,
Inc., to conduct a full-building audit of all lighting systems in its
manufacturing and distribution center in Duryea, PA, for potential
energy-savings upgrades. The company’s goals were to
dramatically improve the quality and quantity of light and find
desirable returns for other energy-efficiency improvements.
Smart Savings
In addition to improved working conditions, Pride Mobility will
enjoy the following realized energy savings from this lighting
upgrade project:

Year 1 Tax Incentive Value: $61,547

This project has led to the equivalent reduction of 869,128 pounds
