• was founded in the early 80s by John Warnock and Charles Geschke
• the company’s name comes after adobe creek in California, which ran behind the houses of both of the company’s founders
• as of 2010 adobe had 9117 employees, 40% were in the mother company
• Adobe’s last record for the revenues of the year 2012 stated that they exceeded 4 BILLION $

• The program is written with the C++ programming language
• Available in 16 dialects
• Dreamweaver is mostly a HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)
