2. What did we create and why is this important?
â Problem Statement â Fusing links between student data,
self assessment, and professional development
â Links a teacher to professional training materials based
on their student and self assessment data as well as
instructional coaches suggestions
â Teachers need professional development to increase
student achievement
4. Concept into App
â User Experience
â from the my PD plan page, a teacher can see all of
current and past professional development
â expandable and collapsible headings make it easy for
the teacher to see everything from the welcome page
â web-based program=access from any computer or
mobile device
5. Concept into App
â Applicability to Education
â all teachers and administrators participate in trainings
every year
â often trainings focus on tools and productivity,
however teachers also need instructional strategies
â teachers that spend more time in PD activities are
likely to report improvements in classroom teaching
6. Concept into App
â Usage of the SLC technology
â our app uses the SLC API to link teachers to their
student achievement data and provide training
materials based on strengths and next steps related
to the common core standards
â if a teacher has a next step, there will be links directly
related to that specific skill
