One Of My Favorite Eating Experiences
I have had many good experiences with food but this one was definitely a top 10. The
food was great, the service was great ,and the settings were to. I had been to the restaurant before
but, this time I ordered something different.
It was a few weeks ago and I was in Rochester. I was at my grandma's and we were
deciding where we wanted to eat. I didn't have much to suggest until it hit me. I wanted to go to
Pat's Landing for dinner. A sudden craving made me want to go there. After we decided where
we wanted to eat we had a debate on whether we should drive or take the boat. Knowing me I
wanted to take the boat because I had just gotten my boating license. So we got to take the boat
and I loved driving it so I took my time getting there. While driving into the inlet I could see the
restaurant. The old small wooden docks and the big glass windows. You could just feel the
oldness of it.
While pulling up to the docks I had to precisely park the boat while the family tied it up.
As anxious as I was to get in I didn't like how people sat by the windows. For the feeling that
someone was watching me bothered me a lot. You could smell the grill and fryers being used in
the kitchen. It was a very greasy smell but it didn't seem to bother anyone. When we walked to
the door a waiter held it for us and with a huge smile on her face she said “Well hello ladies and
gentlemen welcome to Pat's Landing. After we were seated a nice young lady handed us the
menus. It was time for the ultimate choice on what to get.p
I could not figure out what I wanted right away so I kept browsing. I decided that I did
want a sandwich but there were quite a few variants. The most famous was the dam burger
named after the dam right by the restaurant. I thought about getting it but then I saw there was a
tenderloin sandwich and that is one of my favorites. While waiting for the waiter to bring the
drinks back I wondered what the sandwich looked like. So many thoughts running through my
head. I'm not going to lie I have had some nasty tenderloin in my time, but I have also had some
very good ones to. Here she came with the drinks on a tray I got a classic coke. You can't go
wrong with a coke and a sandwich. She pulled out the note pad and asked us what we would like
to eat in a spontaneous voice I said “Breaded tenderloin please”.
When the ordering of the food concluded we played the waiting game. Until we had
asked for crayons. The funny thing about this restaurant was that the tables were covered in
sheets of white paper. You could color and draw anywhere on the table literally. My sister and I
participated in a game of hangman. A game everyone loves to play when they are bored. A few
games passed and we were done. We saw the waiter bringing the food I was so excited because
by then I was super hungry. The sandwich was huge and looked delicious. When I bit into it I
realized that it was a million times better than I thought. The chicken was perfectly cooked not to
hard and not too soft it was al dente. I had mayonnaise lettuce and tomatoes which made it

2. perfect. It came with a side of potato wedges with ranch and salt. The meal was perfect in every
way.
