The National Productivity Council's Environment Management Group was established in 1983 to provide pollution prevention and environmental management services to Indian industries. It has since helped hundreds of industries improve resource efficiency and compliance through waste minimization studies and cleaner production assessments. The group also operates an environmental laboratory and provides training programs. It has worked with numerous national and international organizations and across various sectors to advance sustainable industrial practices in India.
