2. r-e-deb@sbcglobal.net • Robert de Berardinis The Problem The traditional genealogical source materials for the French and Spanish Provinces of Louisiana, and the British Floridas are (translated) church records, marriage contracts, conveyances, and successions. These traditional genealogical source materials tend to have increasingly more and larger gaps as one goes backwards in time, if the records are still extant. This does not include the problems of faded ink and torn or rodent eaten pages.
