6. Conclusion and Outlook
Fulfilment of EU Directive requirements to be based on win-win solution for business and public
sectors in the port enabling sustainability of industry growth and partnership.
The solution is applicable for all port-sizes and types of organisation within the country.
Extended ZMGS as a first phase solution of the system interoperability at the level of the
German States.
Data interchanges among the public bodies through National Single Windows enhance the
efficiency of processes in the port operations.
State-of-the-art Technology and innovation must be focussed and concerned in the design
phase.
Change Management is a crucial CSF for the implementation of Single Windows.
Linking EU initiatives like Blue Belt and SafeSeaNet is an important implementation requirement
to enable an integrated vision towards e-Maritime.
