-LTE will continue to be a major driver for service assurance investments during the forecast period. Growth in the first 3 years will be
relatively slow because LTE-related spending in mature markets such as North America (NA) will decline.
-Investments will increase in emerging markets as operators accelerate LTE deployments, which will drive higher growth during the
latter part of the forecast period. Countries in emerging Asia'Pacific (APAC) and parts of the Middle East and Africa (MEA) have
planned LTE roll-outs in this period.
-Cost and bottom-line pressures will drive investments in network operations centre (NOC) consolidation initiatives and system
rationalisation projects. Service operation centre (SOC) implementation, big data and real-time network analytics will be strong
drivers, for improving customer experience, increasing customer loyalty and reducing churn.
-In the long term, a number of operators will deploy voice over LTE (VoLTE). Given the complexity of VoLTE, operators will need
advanced monitoring systems to assure the service.
-As operators evolve their networks to introduce virtualised network functions, they will need new assurance and orchestration
systems that can manage both legacy and virtualised infrastructure.
