market of aluminum profiles in 2009 declined by 37%. In the Russian market, the domestic products make up the larger share. In
2009, this share was 76% in terms of volume. Today in Russia there are more than 30 manufacturers involved in extrusion of
aluminum profiles, and the number of players is growing, mainly due to the small producers. The largest players in Russia is "Rasstal"
(CJSC "TATPROF"), Factory "Mosmetallokonstruktsiya", LLC "Agrisovgaz", OJSC "Energotehmash", LLC "Realit", and
casting-forging factory "Segal". These major producers provide about 60% of the total volumes of aluminium manufactured in Russia.
The volume of imports of aluminum in Russia in 2009 amounted to 21.81 tons, totaling to 94.03 million USD. A large share of in kind
production is occupied by hollow profiles of aluminum alloys - 50%. Profiles of undoped alumina occupy 8% of the imports in physical
terms. Other profiles accounted for 42%. The volume of exports of aluminum profiles in 2009 amounted to 2.7 thousand tons worth
15.3 million USD.
