Taking advantage of the mild climate
all year-round and the natural won-
ders of the island, the hotel invites
guests for a long stay. In this island
there is a lot to discover, but let us start with the hotel. The unit is locat-
ed just over 10-minutes away from Angra do Heroísmo, world heritage
site. When arriving in the hotel, guests will find an architecture that does-
n’t interfere with the landscape. Inside you will find the comfort and qual-
ity associated with a 4-star hotel. The unit has 111 rooms, ranging from
25 to 35 square metres with terrace (9 square metres), and dispersed
over 24 one-store small buildings. Each room is equipped with acclima-

the garden and some to the sea.
In the main building you can find the reception area, restaurants, a
piano-bar, stores and a congress room for 100 people.
The hotel also has the largest indoor heated swimming pool on the
island, as well as an aquatic bar, a gym, a sauna, hammam room and
Kid Club service.
The two restaurants at Terra do Mar offer a variety between tradition-
al cuisine with the tastes of the archipelago (fish and local produce),
which enters the half-board package, and a gourmet cuisine with a
“French touch”. Before or after dinner, “La Petite Havane” piano-bar
welcomes guests in a warm and gentle atmosphere.

Because of its natural characteristics, Terceira Island is ideal for
several outdoor activities, either on land or at sea. Therefore, Terra
do Mar Hotel has a complete offer of sports activities such as golf.
Just 10-minutes away from the hotel, there’s the Praia da Vitória
Golf Course, with 18-holes and located 350 metres above sea level.
Still on land, guests can choose trekking or mountain bike rides.
One other activity on offer is sport fishing. Accompanied by a skip-
per and a professional fisherman, and provided with all necessary
equipment, guests can venture and find swordfishes, sea breams,
tunas, blue or white marlins.
The suggestions of the hotel continue over the sea with whale
watching, since Azores have one of the most important whale
colonies in the Atlantic. Guests are accompanied by a marine biolo-
gist.
Lastly there’s diving. Did we save the best for last? Judging from
the quantity of rare species inhabiting the sea surrounding the
Azores, the answer is yes. The water temperature ranges from 200
C to 230C, and divers can enjoy the marvels of these unique diving
locations. The Diving Club of Terra do Mar Hotel is certified by
FFESSM (CMAS) and PADI from INCANTU Club from Calvi, the
second largest diving club in France. Depending on the season, the
hotel suggests daily and/or night diving.
