Orthopedic Billing:
In-House vs.
Outsourcing
eBook: Converting Your Top
Orthopedic ICD-9 Codes to ICD-10
In order to respond to the changes in technology and medical knowledge
since the implementation of ICD-9 codes, on October 1st, 2014, all offices
will be required to switch over to the new
ICD-10. There are some major differences
between the ICD-9 and the ICD-10, and
because there is no grace period, offices
must be ready to convert their codes as
soon as the change occurs.
This eBook will help you understand the
changeover, learn how to prepare for it,
and give you tools and resources to help
you along the way.

happening in D.C. The government
shutdown didn’t give the regulators over
at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services much time off, so be prepared
for their final rule-making with an
effective date of New Year’s day 2014.

billing is handled in-house or is outsourced is
a decision that needs to be assessed based
on your specific practice, its resources and
operating style. To choose which type of
billing is best, consider the benefits and
drawbacks of each option.
