• RTI’s Design Support Packages (DSPs) are an efficient and flexible way to
receive expert assistance in upgrading or migrating any projects
middleware infrastructure
• The DSPs:
– Are delivered by RTI's Consulting Services team, which has decades of middleware and
distributed system expertise
– Provide your team the assurance that expertise will be available with critical design and
implementation decisions are being made, maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk

3. RTI Upgrade Design Support Package (DSP)
• The Upgrade DSP is designed to assist existing customers upgrade to Connext 5.0.0
from:
– RTI NDDS 2.x
– RTI NDDS 3.x
– RTI DDS 4.0x
– Other legacy middleware (Custom or COTS)
• During the DSP, our Consulting Services Team will:
– Provide architectural, design and data model guidance
– Assist with upgrading your existing infrastructure (i.e. 'wrapper') layer
– Assess risk areas and provide risk reduction guidance
– Work with your team to perform performance testing and tuning
– Help determine where RTI runtime components will provide value
– Provide tools training (graphical and command line) to assist in the upgrade process.
This enables your team to operate far more efficiently as you develop, test, debug and
deploy your distributed system

4. RTI Migration Design Support Package (DSP)
• The Migration DSP is designed to help your team transition to RTI Connext 5.0.0
from:
– Custom or COTS publish/subscribe middleware
– Other legacy middleware (Custom or COTS)
• During the DSP, our Consulting Services Team will:
– Provide architectural, design and data model guidance
– Assist with the migration of your existing infrastructure (i.e. 'wrapper') layer
– Assess risk areas and provide risk reduction guidance
– Work with your team to perform performance testing and tuning
– Help determine where RTI runtime components will provide value
– Provide tools training (graphical and command line) to assist in the upgrade process.
