For leSS moneY. SimPle, iSn’T iT?
There was a time when car companies, as they moved upscale, would invent a new brand name befitting a luxury image.
With a new, loftier sticker price to match. How 1990s. At Hyundai, we’re content to let the qualities of our vehicles
speak for themselves.
Take Hyundai Tucson. Its refined look is sleek and aggressive, with scuplted hood creases, wrap-around headlights and an
available panoramic sunroof. But it’s what’s inside that you’ll find most striking: Room. Whether it’s headroom and legroom
for you and your passengers, or cargo room to carry out your plans, Tucson is surprisingly spacious inside.
Under the hood, there’s a choice of 4-cylinder engines: A 2.0L or a 2.4L Theta 2 that delivers up to 176 horsepower and an
estimated 31 MPG on the highway.1
Beneath the skin, advanced safety features earned Tucson a Top Safety Pick in 2010 by the
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.2
There’s also an available All Wheel Drive System. And it’s backed by America’s Best
Warranty, including a 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty with 5-year/unlimited miles Roadside Assistance.3

THE EPA MAY CLASSIFY TUCSON AS A COMPACT SUV,
BUT DON’T LET THAT LABEL FOOL YOU.
Cross shopping crossover vehicles isn’t always so simple. Here’s some help: The EPA may classify Tucson as a compact, but Tucson has more rear-seat legroom than Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Ford
Escape or Subaru Forester. And it’s got more passenger interior volume than Rogue or Escape. It’s even got more passenger interior volume than an Acura RDX. Yet the new Tucson still leaves lots of
space for cargo. In fact, with the rear seat up, it’s got more cargo capacity than an Infiniti FX or a BMW X5. With all the room, it affords you comfortable accommodations for five. And it’s available
with features great and small that are, by anyone’s measure, upscale amenities. Like heated seats. Or a panoramic sunroof that creates an open, airy feeling within the interior. There’s even an available
navigation system that helps you plot your next move, no matter where your travels take you.

LIMITED IN Diamond Silver
We know what you’re thinking. From what you can see of Tucson, it’s all there: The sleek design, the spacious interior, and the sophisticated features. But what about all the things you can’t see?
The guts of the engineering systems that deliver Tucson’s acceleration, traction, safety and stability – what about those things? Tucson’s available 2.4L Theta 2 engine has plenty of get-up-and-go. Yet
it’s estimated at up to 31 MPG with minimal emissions. The secret? Variable valve timing advancements, which the 2.0L engine also offers with a choice of two transmissions: A standard 5-speed
manual, or an available 6-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC.® Tucson comes standard with a long list of safety features, too. There’s Anti-lock Braking with Electronic Brake-force Distribution
and Brake Assist. Active front head restraints. And six airbags – dual advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors.1
TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS)
Tucson’s Electronic Stability Control includes a
sophisticated Traction Control System to help
reduce wheel spin under acceleration.3
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
Every 2011 Tucson comes standard with ESC.
It helps prevent plowing or fishtailing by applying
brake force when needed to keep the vehicle
cornering on its intended path.2
ELECTRONIC BRAKE-FORCE
DISTRIBUTION (EBD)
EBD uses a network of sensors to distribute
brake pressure at each wheel. So even with
changing conditions of road surface, load and
speed, braking performance is optimized.
WELL EQUIPPED FOR LIFE’S UPS AND DOWNS
Standard on every Tucson is Hillstart Assist Control, a technology that helps
minimize backward rolling as you release your foot from the brake (for example,
when you’re stopped at an intersection on an uphill slope). Also standard is
Downhill Brake Control, which helps the driver maintain control and speed
when easing the vehicle down steep descents.

The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The
SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which should be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be restrained securely in the rear seat. NEVER place a rear-facing child seat in the front seat
of a vehicle that has a passenger-side airbag. 2
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) cannot control your vehicle’s stability under all driving situations. ESC is not a substitute for safe driving practices. No
system, no matter how advanced, can overcome physics or correct poor driving. The driver is always responsible for controlling the vehicle and must use caution to avoid loss of control in all driving
conditions. Speed, road conditions and driver steering input will affect whether ESC can help prevent loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for details. 3
The Traction Control System (TCS) is meant to
enhance conscientious driving habits and is not a substitute for safe driving practices.
HYUNDAI ENGINEERING: THE SUBSTANCE BEHIND THE STYLE.
ACTIVE SAFETY ENGINEERING
Active front head restraints move upward and
forward in certain rear-end collisions, which
helps provide extra protection against whiplash.

  • 7. Yet it’s estimated at up to 31 MPG with minimal emissions. The secret? Variable valve timing advancements, which the 2.0L engine also offers with a choice of two transmissions: A standard 5-speed manual, or an available 6-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC.® Tucson comes standard with a long list of safety features, too. There’s Anti-lock Braking with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist. Active front head restraints. And six airbags – dual advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors.1 TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS) Tucson’s Electronic Stability Control includes a sophisticated Traction Control System to help reduce wheel spin under acceleration.3 ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) Every 2011 Tucson comes standard with ESC. It helps prevent plowing or fishtailing by applying brake force when needed to keep the vehicle cornering on its intended path.2 ELECTRONIC BRAKE-FORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBD) EBD uses a network of sensors to distribute brake pressure at each wheel. So even with changing conditions of road surface, load and speed, braking performance is optimized. WELL EQUIPPED FOR LIFE’S UPS AND DOWNS Standard on every Tucson is Hillstart Assist Control, a technology that helps minimize backward rolling as you release your foot from the brake (for example, when you’re stopped at an intersection on an uphill slope). Also standard is Downhill Brake Control, which helps the driver maintain control and speed when easing the vehicle down steep descents. Hillstart Assist Control (HAC) Downhill Brake Control (DBC) 1  The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain frontal and/or side-impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts, which should be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be restrained securely in the rear seat. NEVER place a rear-facing child seat in the front seat of a vehicle that has a passenger-side airbag. 2  Electronic Stability Control (ESC) cannot control your vehicle’s stability under all driving situations. ESC is not a substitute for safe driving practices. No system, no matter how advanced, can overcome physics or correct poor driving. The driver is always responsible for controlling the vehicle and must use caution to avoid loss of control in all driving conditions. Speed, road conditions and driver steering input will affect whether ESC can help prevent loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for details. 3  The Traction Control System (TCS) is meant to enhance conscientious driving habits and is not a substitute for safe driving practices. HYUNDAI ENGINEERING: THE SUBSTANCE BEHIND THE STYLE. ACTIVE SAFETY ENGINEERING Active front head restraints move upward and forward in certain rear-end collisions, which helps provide extra protection against whiplash.
