What Do You
Know About

Cats?
The word ‘cat’ refers to a family of meat eating
animals including lions, tigers, leopards and panthers.
Cats sleep between 16
and 18 hours a day.

A cat can jump 7x as
high as it is tall.

Almost 10% of a cats
bones can be found in
its tail.
Kittens will remain with their mother until nine weeks
                          old.

A cat is pregnant for around fifty six days.

You can tell a cats mood by looking into it’s eyes.
A cat can live for up to 20 years but the average life
             expectancy is 14 years old.

Cats take between 20 to 40 breaths per minute.

A cat can spend 5 or more hours a day grooming.

It is estimated that a cat can make over 60 different
                        sounds.
A cat can be taken miles from its home and find its
own way back, but if its owners move house it can’t
                    find them.
Cats have 30 teeth, and respond better
to men as opposed to women.
