1. The Many Women of Jesse James' Past
Jesse James is almost as well-known for his overly active love life as he is for his
career. The TV personality and head of West Coast Choppers famously cheated on
actress Sandra Bullock, resulting in their split immediately following her Oscar
win for "The Blind Side."
James and Michelle "Bombshell" McGee notoriously took full advantage of
Sandra's absence during filming. Michelle McGee is a tattoo and fetish model and
sometime-stripper who created a whirlwind of controversy when it was revealed
that she once posed in Nazi gear.
McGee, who claims her relationship with James lasted nearly a year, offered
numerous texts as evidence of their affair. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jesse James left
her shortly after his split with Bullock. Michelle McGee, who says she was brought
up in an Amish community, also claims she is pursuing a Masters degree in
biochemistry. McGee told Fox News she thought James and Bullock were
separated, insisting she would never have knowingly had a relationship with a
married man.
McGee has been compared to James' second wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder,
most likely due to their shared proclivity for extensive tattooing. Lindemulder,
famous for modeling as a naughty nurse for the cover of the Blink 182 album
"Enema of the State," has made headlines more recently for her stint in a Texas
jail. She was incarcerated after turning herself in due to warrants for harassment
charges filed by Jesse James. Lindemulder had his name tattooed on her arm less
than two weeks after their relationship began because she was "smitten."
While Brigitte Daguerre is not covered in tattoos, she does share the bad-girl
appeal of the other women with whom James cheated on Sandra Bullock. The sexy
brunette photographer has nearly 200 texts stashed away as evidence of their tryst,
and the phone numbers do appear to line up with those of both Daguerre and
James. The two met when he booked Brigitte to handle styling duties for a West
Coast Choppers-related photo shoot. Daguerre is the third woman to admit to an
affair with James, although she says the pair only had sex four times.
Blond stripper Melissa Smith claims a much longer fling with James -- actually, a
full-fledged two-year affair. Like McGee, Smith says their favorite rendezvous
spot was the couch in Jesse's office. Smith is further proof that bad girls are Jesse's
type; her arrest record includes a DUI and assaulting a police officer, with at least
2. one charge resulting in jail time.
First wife Karla James was spotted with Jesse's kids immediately following the
news that he had cheated on Sandra Bullock. Jesse and busty blonde Karla ended
their 11-year marriage in 2002 and have a daughter and son together. Karla James,
who is nearly ten years older than Jesse, has lived near the biker and former
bodyguard of rock stars in both L.A. and Austin, Texas.
Tattoo artist and "L.A. Ink" star Kat Von D is the most recent -- and second-most
famous -- woman to become seriously involved with Jesse James. Kat worked in
her first tattoo parlor at the age of 16, and her love of tattoos has taken her far.
Perhaps bonded by their love of tattoos and reality TV experience, the two have an
on-again/off-again relationship. Less than a year after the breakup of his marriage
to Sandra Bullock, James announced his engagement to his "best friend" Kat Von
D. Within seven months, Von D and James had ended their relationship and begun
it again.
The woman familiar to most, Sandra Bullock, couldn't be any more different from
James' usual type. The quintessential girl-next-door, Bullock has been romantically
linked to actors Matthew McConaughey, Tate Donovan and the much younger
Ryan Gosling. She worried friends and surprised everyone when she married Jesse
James. In fact, Bullock must have surprised herself, given her past reticence
towards the institution of marriage.
In an ABC news interview, Janine Lindemulder credited Bullock with taking good
care of Lindermulder's daughter during her incarceration for tax evasion. Her
maternal instincts will be put to excellent use, since the actress has decided to
proceed with adopting a child -- a process begun while she was still married, but
which she'll continue with as a single mother. Bullock and James met on the set of
the Discovery Channel's "Monster Garage," hosted and co-produced by Jesse
James. That fateful moment set off a string of events that provided a number of
women with their respective fifteen minutes of fame, whether they sought it or not.
