1. Brain Computer Interface (BCI) using electronic transmitter and
electronic receiver
Pragnesh Patel1, Dr. Mahasweta Sarkar, Dr. Santosh Nagaraj
Introduction
• Native American speaks English whereas a person born in Japan speaks Japanese. When both of them are involved
in conversation they face problem of common language.
• English and Japanese are miles apart from each other having nothing similar.
• So for successful conversation, either American needs to learn Japanese or person from Japan needs to learn
English, or both of them need to know a third common language.
• In our case, an Electronic transmitter is similar to the American person and an Electronic Receiver is similar to
the Japanese person.
• The channel plays the role of a common language between the two, which can be wireless or wired. But who likes
wires? The electrode implanted inside the brain picks up the signals from neurons, which are the tiniest part of our
brain carrying tons of information.
• This information is then given to electronic transmitter which sends it to electronic receiver via a wireless channel
made up of human tissues.
• The electronic receiver, now knows what we are thinking and what we want to do. This receiver then tells spinal cord
to do what we are thinking and our task is done!
