- Since 1981, about 35 million people have died from AIDS. It had caused a drastic fall in many countries all over the world. Many scientists have observed the number of cases of HIV/AIDS
- AIDS has caused millions of little children all over the world have been orphaned.
- Since many children who have AIDS contracted it from their mother, they tend to not live that long. Because new infants barely have a strong immune system, they would die in about 1 and 1/22 to 2 years.
- There are misconceptions about how AIDS spread. Many people without knowledge of AIDS or heard of it only once would believe that it spreads there bodily contact. It is partially true. AIDS doesn’t spread through kissing, holding hands, or sitting in the same seat. It spreads through blood contact.
- In the past, one of the main reasons AIDS spread was because many people shared drug needles.
- Many organizations have tried to improve the condition of many African countries. Some of their plans had worked while some didn’t. There is irony to it. The organizations have helped save a number of people from dying from it but it increases the number of people who have it. This can cause greater risk.
- A thing that I learned it that education is really important. If you’re more informed about AIDS, you can take the precautionary steps when you’re around someone with AIDS.
- There has been many misconceptions about who AIDS effect. It doesn’t matter whether they are Caucasian, Asian, African, etc. Or their gender or age. Anyone can be infected with AIDS.
