Nature’s Best Ltd. was founded by its owner and Chairman – Paddy Callaghan – when
he started growing beans sprouts hydroponically in his garage in Co Meath in 1987.
Paddy is the eldest of four sons born in 1954 into a typical Irish family involved in
mixed farming. He studied Mechanical Engineering in UCD and worked abroad for
several years before returning to Ireland in 1978. All of his three brothers are not just
actively involved in, but are totally committed to quality food production in Ireland.
In Ireland we are fortunate to live on an island with excellent arable land and a temperate climate which is
ideal for commercial production of various key agricultural crops, livestock and dairy products. Ireland is
recognised as having world class product development, quality control and food production systems and our
country’s geographical location and infrastructure is ideally suited to boost Ireland’s huge export potential.
