Attached you will find My CV basically as the best tool I can give you to show you my experience. You will note that I have always moved
around as this is the only way to gain true experience, as my last position working as an employee was for a period of around 12 Years as
this was a company selling engineering services , for me the best possible type of employer one who finds me constantly the best projects
and gets me into them .
I am 24/7 an engineer when I come home I go into my own workshop and push my own personal boarders in the field of Radio Astronomy/
Science Research designing and building leading edge technology in such fields. To be perfectly honest its Easy for me to master and
deliver the engineering you need to solve your problems and I am the kind of person who has itchy feet I get the job done usually well
before project planing goals you normally know and you can keep me by giving me the next interesting challenge.
I love people , I love helping younger people in the team I know that its my task to pass on knowledge to the next generation ( That,s
obviously the reason why I teach Electrical engineering also at University).
I love helping people like you, Project managers with real life problems, even you need helpful advice occasionally on an eye to eye basis,
everyone does, its the project goal that counts.
In 2013 I went freelance by forming the company Eye Technology Europe this was the logical next step, its also easier for you, just paying
as you go for my services at the usual rates. This does not mean however that I am not open to an interesting offer of conventional
employment if the project is right !
Over time Something has emerged that I was not expecting or did see coming ! I come from the UK Near Newcastle upon Tyne in the north
east but have lived for over 30 years in central Germany near Heidelberg (2 Houses), this makes me extremely interesting when you want
to work internationally as I know both worlds like the back of my hand. This interaction at a very high Technical level just may be the
feature that you have been looking for but never found. It just may be that you are from Science research , here my experience of industrial
methods and materials will be of great advantage to you in your project as I can with this knowledge bring you forward in a way not
possible with post graduates. I master Technical English and Technical German in a way hard to find.
I am highly mobile and am extremely goal orientated by you on site or with work packets that I process then feed into your project. A
wonderful example here is obsolescence management, Your main product has been running for years but today its a problem getting certain
Semiconductors, I am able to source replacements or decide to upgrade to new technologies like IGBT by undertaking the needed redesign
to the unit sub circuit effected. I learned this from the aircraft industry Retrofitting black boxes with standardized connector pinning.
My Speciality has to be however Retrofitting and designing Ground support test equipment ( Product testing Rigs) this involves I think the
highest degree of ingenuity and skill Taking sometimes not known interface parameters and building a unit that interfaces perfectly
incorporating all your needs and special wishes, in fact retrofitting is sometimes the way of getting something that the supplier may not want
to offer !
