3. Digital Age? With use of the Internet becoming widespread and the introduction of supporting technologies, convergence and digital media have changed the way we experience television and entertainment content. (Gray 2008)

4. But finds portability challenging

5. Anytime, anywhere Convergence across delivery platforms and services such as Tivo, P2P filesharingand web based tv have created an on demand, portable and personalised TV experience. We no longer fit with the schedule of broadcasters but create our own schedules to fit our preferences, lifestyle and tastes.

6. Pity the fool!

7. Getting social The Internet has allowed people across the globe to come together around common interests such as television. People discuss TV online in forums, chat rooms, via IM and in social media such as Facebook & Twitter.

9. Convergence The internet and new digital technologies has produced an era where devices are expected to be multifunctional. Our entertainment is no longer confined to a single device, but we take TV with us, get it through game consoles, through computers, in the car, in the fridge door, on our phones and our TVs now have to surf the net and read our computers too!
