• A Discussion Item is a type of Service
Learning Item, which allows students to
enter posts to a discussion forum.
• Over the term students will build on
their exisLng knowledge about water.
Teachers and students can record the
instrucLons/reflecLons of each acLvity
as well as type these in.
• In order for students to be able to do
this they will need to know how to log
onto the Ultranet and navigate to the
acLvity.
• Computers will need to have a

Water Clip
• A Reference Item is a type of Service
Learning Item, which provides students
with a link to a specified website.
• The first acLvity will have the students
watch a clip related to saving water.
• In order for students to be able to do
this they will need to know how to log
onto the Ultranet and navigate to the
acLvity.
• There is volume to the suggested clip.

• A Journal Item is a type of Service Learning
Item, which allows students to enter
journal entries into their personal journal.
• Over the term students could record their
reflecLons to experiments and learning
being explored in the classroom. Teachers
and students can record the instrucLons/

these in.
