Paul Gronley, Director, National Major Accounts &
Indirect Sales Channels,
Paul is a versatile total solutions IT industry sales & sales management
executive with 30+ years in start-up, turnaround and established
companies. He has vast experience in the dealings of selling on the direct
side large systems solutions and indirect sales channels as well.
He has built startup sales organizations. 28 Pac*Tel Infosystem Business
Centers, as a Regional Sales Manager Data Products where he started &
staffed, then supported 12 of the southern California business centers.
These retail outlets mainly focused on Large companies as well as the
small to medium markets as well. He also was responsible for the sale and
assisted in the implementation of ERP software & services where he
developed major accounts & managed teams selling into some of the
large auto manufactures US headquarters. He was personally responsible
for the development of very large custom databases that ran on
multiprocessor super servers, and storage area networks. Hyundai Motor,
America, Aero Jet, & Sunrider International just to mention few.
As the Southwest District Indirect Sales Manager for Digital Equipment
Corporation, Paul had multistate responsibility for the DEC OEM's and
VAR's that sold DEC's products into large companies where there was an
existing business relationship thus eliminating competition conflicts with the
DEC re-seller's. Technical knowledge was required to be able to converse
at the C level. This helped him understand the total picture and enabled
him to suggest the needs of his clients. He also worked at companies in
the Telecommunications industry holding national and regional titles.
His sales and acct management skills enabled him to transfer his
knowledge to many people that worked with him. Honesty was the Zenith
and the paramount of his account and marketing philosophy. He earned
a BS, Business Administration, degree from the University of Arizona.
