The enclosed security of a Japanese yard pictures the clients vision for the new home for his family and guests. And it should
touch with traditional details of Austrian farm houses.
3 fingers and a functional backbone create a yard between the guest wing and the living room and a terrace between living
room and kitchen/eating space.
The voids are orientated after the sun run and a counter-clock-wise rotation of the gable line opens the fingers vertical
facade heights on the southwest side of the building.
Tradition craftsman details and materials are used wherever the user come in touch with the building.
On the lower floor with direct access to the garden you find the sleeping rooms and bath/SPA areas. The entrance floor
serves with living room, kitchen and the guest wing and the upper roofspace houses a guest gallery, an atelier space, office
space and storage.
Orientation and distribution of the functions is highly tailored to fit the clients requirements.
Dressed in tradition.
