2. 1. Represent your class in PTA Meetings
• Introduce yourself to the other parents
• Gather feedback from them about PTA matters
• Tell the PTA committee parents’ views on:
- events that have been held in the past
- events they would like to have
- suggestions of how to spend funds
• REMEMBER You can have more than one rep in a class:
spread the workload!

3. 2. Represent your class in Parent Forums
• Gather feedback from other parents about school
matters
• Tell the school leadership team in regular meetings
• Reflect the diversity of the school community

4. 3. Help to involve more parents
Encourage more parents to get involved by:
• Volunteering for tasks
• Donating skills or resources
• Attending PTA meetings
• Putting forward their views & ideas
• Set up communication links with parents
(don’t forget working parents!)

5. 4. Other class-related stuff
Class reps sometimes also:
• Organise coffee & cake after their class assembly
• Sell raffle tickets
• Put up posters about events
• Organise event volunteer rotas
• Organising collections for teachers’ presents
