Our Malaysians on Malaysia study is
set to understand current trends and
pulse of the Nation in the market.
Since its inception in 2018, this study
has consistently reported on insights
and sentiments amongst Malaysians.
For the first time since its inception,
our MYCI hits an all-time high at 132-
points mark – starting off the year
2023 on a positive note.
The new Belanjwawan2023 and the
amendments to the employment Law
which aims to boost the well-being of
the rakyat and the country progression
brings hope that the country is on its
road to recovery after a stressful
pandemic period.

USAGE OF E-WALLET
CONTINUE TO DIP
Usage of e-wallet continue to dip from
3Q’22, hitting to the level where it fist
started off. It does look like e-wallet
players have to consistently induce
rewards, cash back, promotions, etc.
in order to induce interest to use the
services in order to stay relevant

Our economy indicators has been
already on a consistent uptrend since
4Q’21 and now in 1Q’23, hits all-time
high at above 130-points mark
With the country economy on its road
to progression under the new
Belanjawan 2023, Malaysians are
hopeful that our economy will see a
new light.

study, our MYCI hits all time high at above 130-
points in 1Q’23
o The recent announcement on the new Budget 2023
(#Belanjawan2023) and amendments to the
Employment Law which aim to uplift and boost the
well-being not just for the rakyat but also the
working population indeed bring out the positive
vibes of the people and to start off the year 2023 on
a positive note

o All components of MYCI recorded an
uptick – more so for the economy
indicators where both the indices hit an
all-high scores
o With Belanjawan 2023 focusing on
providing support and allocation for
development, tourism, micro
businesses, this indeed brought hope
that the country’s economy is on its
way to recovery
o Not only that, the rakyat are also inline
to receive various funds and allocation
from Belanjawan 2023 which aims to
improve the people’s well-being –
could potentially be attributed to the
uptick of financial well-being indicators
where the positiveness is seen to spill-
over to the next 12 months
o Given a positive outlook on financial
state, consumers are also indicating
that now is a good time for major
purchases –which also happened to
be inline with the upcoming Raya
festivities
