- Every business has and creates a tremendous volume of content. With today’s desktop programs like Microsoft’s Office Suite and Apple’s iWork, virtually every employee is a content creator. If properly configured, ECM’s do a fabulous job of managing digital assets, document scans, office documents, and archives in a secure repository.. Implementing an ECM provides a valuable platform for information governance, search, taxonomy and metadata development, collaboration and workflow. Documents stored in this enterprise content management system are made available through a presentation layer that users can access easily. Versioned documents are at the center of this collaborative ecosystem, where the versions represent an evolution of documents toward a single output. Enterprise Report Management solutions focus on large, computer generated generational reports. Created by computers, but for human users. In these systems, ERP’s, HRM’s, CRM’s, ad-hoc reporting systems and users generate reports that are generational. A sales report would be a good example of a generational report. It measures a snapshot in time, and is static….the numbers don’t change for that generation. In this scenario, the only way to apply the strengths of the ECM solution to reports is to manually input them into the ECM…costing time and money. In addition, this really only allows for report storage, and does not allow for the pinpoint security and analysis that most businesses actually need.

ViziDex™ can be leveraged for context sensitive search, data query, filtering, sorting and other functions. Our customers have found this to be both an innovative and incredibly valuable tool in their business process! You will also add generational report management to your ECM system.
