This document summarizes the development and use of open courseware resources for a Mechanics course at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. It describes the context of the course, motivation for developing open resources, design of interactive materials with self-assessment tasks and feedback, and analysis of usage data showing the resources reached a wide international audience and supported independent learning.
