A scientific trial assessing medical documentation speed and accuracy when using Nuance’s web-based clinical speech recognition technology - compared to physicians typing data - has been conducted at Düsseldorf University Hospital in Germany in a first of its kind worldwide.
In addition to measuring documentation speed and accuracy, the objective of the independent study was to detail objectively the effects of using Nuance’s medical speech recognition solutions in a university hospital with respect to documentation completeness, length and physician satisfaction over other means of entering information into Electronic Patient Records (EPRs). A full report into the trial’s findings can be found here. http://www.jmir.org/2015/11/e247
