Upcoming Events and information to pass along to our Soldiers and Families:
Operation Santa Claus - Santa's Workshop is now open at Building 261 on main Post. Toys available for children infant to age 18 are needed.
OP Santa is in need of volunteers to help families shop, wrap gifts, etc. during business hours on the 12- 22 DEC. Those who would like to
volunteer to gather toys or assist Santa in other missions can call Santa’s workshop at 785-239-6944. For more information and
applications for the Families that want to receive these toys that are gathered please contact the Soldier’s unit CSM and 1SGs.
LSEC Class Registration for Cycle 2 is Now Open- LSEC (Leader Skills Enhancement Training) College Daytime Courses. The LSEC program is
open to the "Total Army Family". Family members, retirees, retirees' family members, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard and DOD
civilians and their family members. LSEC College schedules are seven cycles per year, each cycle is six weeks in length. Classes meet
Monday to Friday for an hour and one half each class. There are traditional and hybrid classes offered. Traditional classes are in the
classroom for 1 1/2 hours each class period with assignments completed on line or in the classroom. The Hybrid class meets for 45 to 60
minutes each class period with reading assignments and homework completed on line. Tuition and books are provide at no cost to the
student. Students are able to complete an Associates degree and transfer credits to major universities. Attached is a listing of the next

Network Meeting – The next Fort Riley Network Meeting will be held on January 6th at 10:30am. Reminder to please RSVP for child care by
December 30th to stacie.dumas@us.army.mil . Meeting will be at Riley’s Conference Center on Main Post.

a) Join the Enlisted Spouses Club for our annual Christmas cocktail party on December 14, 2011 6:30pm -8:30pm at the Junction City Armory 900
Airport Rd. Junction City, KS. There will be prizes, food, gift exchange, cocktails & fun! Please bring a wrapped “cocktail theme” gift ($10.00
maximum), if you would like to participate in the exchange and an appetizer. Free Childcare if your child(ren) are registered with the ASYMCA.

b) Are you ready to roll? Well, come on out in your favorite pair of pajamas and join The Enlisted Spouses Club for Pajama Bunco night on January
18th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Forsyth Neighborhood Center. There will be prizes, great food, and great company. Please bring along
your favorite appetizer. We will also be taking up a new book and pajama collection for the Pajama Program (http://pajamaprogram.org), a
not-for-profit organization that provides new books and pajamas to children waiting to be adopted in Kansas. Free Childcare is available (if
your children are registered with the ASYMCA) just provide name and ages when sending in your RSVP. Don’t forget to RSVP to

b) SWISH! Attention all boys and girls ages 8-13, you can take part in a great event happening next Saturday, December 10th. The local Junction
City Elks Lodge is sponsoring a Free Throw competition at the Freshman Success Academy from 3:00pm -5:00pm. Local winners have the

Commissary- On December 15th the Commissary will hold a “One Day Only” Clothes Drive. See attached flyer for more information or contact the store

Skeet and Trap Range - Skeet & Trap hours of operation has changed. Their winter hours are now Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm or by appointment (weather

New year’s Eve Bowling Party - Dec 31, 8:00pm-2:00am at Custer Hill Bowling Center Cost includes a live DJ, bowling and shoes, party favors, 2 bottles of
