1. Nicole de Gruchy has trained with “SABC’s” news anchor Adrienne
Steed and completed a journalism diploma at “ Birnam Business College as well as two years of
law at in the commerce department of the University of Cape Town. She also has a fine and
graphic art diploma from “ The Ruth Prowse School of Art”.
Nicole has worked in promotions and sales, new business, and as an art director in creative for
companies like “Entermark”, “Basil o Hagan advertising” and “ The Creative Source” for some
years. She has also worked in the Sponsorship department for the South African broadcaster
“SABC.” Setting up contracts. Nicole has written and read news for “Safm” for some years,
worked in the position of “94.7’s” morning news anchor and co-hosted the live “Sunny Side Up
Breakfast Show” RSS over the 2010 Christmas season. She hosted the live show “Property
Power” on Radio Today and currently co-hosts “Solid Blonde”
She presented for TV 1’s travelogue “Wish You Were Here” in Tanzania and Kenya as well as
TV 1’s “Today” Womans magazine program and M-Net’s “Supergirls” amongst others.Nicole
has worked as a script writer and TV presenter for SABC’s “TSS Network” and “NNTV”, both
on continuity and other live programs for five years.
She works as a freelance journalist, emcee and voice artist also doing documentary narrations as
well as T.V. and radio adverts for companies like “The Marketing Arm” and “Act International”
amongst others. Her professional all-round skills and capabilities within these fields over the last
fifteen years afford her a versatility that is unique.
She works as a solo artist on the local music circuit in South Africa playing at popular venues,
casino’s, hotels and function venues countrywide and most recently singing lead in Wild Coast
Suns “Diva’s of Music” She has been signed as an artist to “David Gresham music” and is
currently performing solo at venues around Gauteng and managing The Corporation
Showbands. Nicole is also currently in process of publishing a book.
