- 9. Organization Functions Social Work Values-Professional ethics are at the core of social work. The profession has an obligation to articulate its basic values, ethical principles, and ethical standards. The NASW Code of Ethics sets forth these values, principles, and standards to guide social workers' conduct. Integrated Family Development (Desarrollo Integral Familiar, DIF) Mexico City Federal agency of Mexico that coordinates a number of programs at the municipal level to assist vulnerable social groups, including abused women and children. Similarities with TCWS Works with agencies that assist abused and homeless children in the capital. A priority for DIF is to attempt to find relatives of children without parents and/or a home in hope of securing their support. DIF responds to complaints of child abuse and social workers investigate complaints, and remove children from abusive homes.
